So you have a sound issue?
Keeping a room audibly comfortable is a key component to having an stress free space. If you're working in a commercial space, a production room or a office space, good acoustics lead to more focused productivity and less stress.
We will help with every step to get your space acoustically sound.   We are here to make this painless and simple.
Our objective is to make sure your atmosphere is a desirable place to be in.

 -----OUR FOCUS-----
  • Quiet the chatter in the room
  • Reduce Reverb (echo)
  • Keep sound in or out
  • Less ear fatigue
  • Your aesthetics
  • Cultivating your production space

////////////
Good ambiance balances aesthetics with customer comfort.

Restaurants, public houses, cafes and co-working spaces all deal with some issue of indirect noise, the most common and easiest to fix.  Typically referred to as reverb (echo), This bothersome noise is generated by sound energy bouncing off all your hard surfaces in the environment. And with today's utility aesthetics there's no wonder the room is hard to have a conversation in.
In this situation when dealing with indirect noise and reverberation we would add absorption materials like Rockwool or ReCore insulation framed in wood and wrapped with a fabric of your choice. SIMPLE. We can actually keep your wall just the way it looks with color match fabric on our commercial acoustic wall systems.

WORKING TOGETHER
First we need to address your issue. Is it "boomy" when full of chatty people? Are you experiencing the eruption of martial arts next door during dinner? These are two different issues. One is to damping the sound energy and one is soundproofing an area.
SPD is your source to interpret all your problems in your space. We know that no two business owners are the same, nor is their space. That is why we can offer you more than just simple rectangles you can get online.

We offer an assortment of products in such applications as:
Acoustical Fabric Wall Systems that can be formed in mant shapes
Circles, Triangles, Hexagons
Acoustic Art Panels.
Ceiling Clouds
Reclaimed Wooden Frames.
Acoustical Fabrics
Custom artist prints
Wood and Acoustic foam diffusers

The type of material we use will effectively absorb and diffuse the energy that causes echo (reverberation) and will produce a better listening atmosphere for your space. You can expect dB (decibel) reduction in the space and significant drop in reverb with any type of these applications.

THE FOOD IS GREAT BUT ITS TOO LOUD.
Having a great experience at your restaurant is the goal. Give people an experience.  Well, first off is the food and drinks any good?   Let's say hypothetically you have any amazing curry soup at your deli. But for some reason everyone gets it to go. It could be the bad lighting, maybe the staff is annoyed, is it the  lack of seating? Or possibly just too loud?

According to what Zagat Survey (reviewed over 15,000 restaurants)  says, restaurant-goers' second-most-frequent complaint is noise. L
oud restaurants are a deal breaker for guests.  And some operators’ desire for trendiness, whether to create a bustling environment or follow the latest industrial-inspired design trends, is only amplifying the issue. The trick is finding ways to accommodate conversation while staying true to the concept’s style and vibe.

It's not the first thing we think about when opening an tap house or brew pub or restaurant but it should be.   There is no doubt that an acoustically treated room will bring people back into your restaurant, as long as the food staff and drinks are the best they can be. The right amount of treatment will reduce echo and reverberation, improve the speech intelligibility, and procure a more satisfying experience for your guests and staff.

WE THINK WE KNOW
Stephen Zagor, dean of business and management studies at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan says, lighting—how it hits the walls, the tables, the floor—is the most important design element, Acoustics are the second Zagor states.
Raimundo Gaby, associate professor of business management at the Culinary Institute of America, who says,
“It’s the first thing that the industry does poorly.”  We have all been to that loud room and wonder why nothing has been done about it. Well, first off I would say its the aesthetics. Most business owners don't want to take away from their beautiful decor.
With todays innovative materials and sleek framing, there is no doubt in my mind you can make acoustic look good. Either with our new line of Mood Fixtures or other products.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Sound Palace Design was easy to work with, travelled over an hour to our facility to do the work, and went above and beyond in scheduling and completing the project. Not to mention, it works! We own and operate a dog training facility in what was once the world's most echo-y chamber of barks. Now we can easily speak with clients over the noise. Highly recommended; you'll thank yourself when you're 90 and can still hear.
